2006 Environmental Fatal Flaw Analysis, RTP Assoc.
RTP Environmental Associates,Cedarburg, Wisconsin, was contracted by the Escanaba Electrical Department and WPPI to perform an Environmental Fatal Flaw Analysis of the existing facility. The study was issued in February, 2006.
The City of Escanaba and Wisconsin Public Power, Inc. WPPI), entered into an agreement to share the cost of an Environmental Fatal Flaw Analysis for the Escanaba Power Station. This was the first joint action by Escanaba and WPPI as part of the Energy Supply Project. The study considered three generating sizes: 57 MW, 150 MW, and 250 MW.

The Study showed that emissions compliance could be obtained for the three unit sizes.
